One of the most common questions we see when someone wants to join Team Trilogy, or move their bag to a single company, is which disc can replace something. ![]() In their guidelines, they state how they allow you to throw other discs in casual rounds, but want you to throw only Trilogy plastic in tournament rounds. Beyond just the idea of throwing discs from the Trilogy, there is also an effort to positively promote the sport as part of the movement. Team Trilogy has setup a full website where you can join their team. Soon after Dynamic Discs released their own line of discs, the idea for the Trilogy was born. Trilogy being Latitude 64/Dynamic Discs/Westside Discs. While the trio of Innova/Discmania/Millennium was established first, one of the quickest growing group of brand loyalists is known as Team Trilogy. Since each group is manufactured in one location, it would be acceptable to have discs in your bag that all fall under the same area. We see many stick to the Innova/Discmania/Millennium trio, Latitude 64/Dynamic Discs/Westside Discs, or Discraft/DGA combinations. The sister companies to these big brands call into the same overall category. This doesn’t mean you throw just discs with an Innova stamp on them or a Latitude 64 stamp, for example. ![]() There are many who want to remain loyal to the company who makes their favorite discs. We’ll begin with the folks who stick to one company. We’re more focused on the amateurs in this case. Yes, some pros are able to throw a mixed bag depending on who their sponsor is, but that is for another DISCussion at another time. Now, if you’re a professional sponsored by one of the larger disc golf companies, you’re throwing just their discs. So, we want to know… Do you throw the mixed bag or are you loyal to one company and why? There are benefits to both sides of this argument. When it comes to what discs you decide to put in your bag there seems to be two schools of thought: throw what is best for you regardless of the brand or manufacturer, or throw only discs made by a single brand or manufacturer.
